This is a late post of my ramblings on the deep internet and I really want to talk about my Undergraduate Thesis that we’re currently making.

So I really don’t want to talk (lol) about what our topic is but I’m just gonna say that we have it “easy”. If I’m going to talk to my self back when I was a 1st year- I’m going to thank myself for: being a CS Student, choosing the right people to hang out, Choosing CS, and that’s about it.

Thesis

Now let’s actually talk about my thesis, and I’m gonna just gonna say- I’m not a fan, and I’m not proud of it. The reason why I don’t like it is because it needs to align with the SDG Goals and that is why I’m not proud of it. There are a lot of times where I say to myself: “Is there really a Tech/Research that needs improving that aligns with the SDG Goals”. Remember- I’m a Game Developer, all I can think about is Games, games, games.

My Proposals

So what are my proposals… Well, I’m just gonna list them

• A BERT-based Multi-label Classification System for Municipal Disaster-Related Posts in [Insert Location Here]
• Sentiment Analysis and Topic Modeling of [Insert Province Here] de Bay Ecotourism Reviews for Sustainable Development Insights
• Development of a Named Entity Recognition (NER) Model for Extracting Key Information from [Insert Province Here] Local Market Online Transaction Posts
• An Agent-Based Simulation Model for Pedestrian Evacuation Routing During Flash Floods in a [Insert Town Here] Barangay
• A System Dynamics Model of Nutrient Flow (Nitrogen) in Small-Scale Aquaponics Systems: A Case for Urban Farming in [Insert Town Here]
• Simulation and Optimization of Tricycle Routing for Last-Mile Connectivity to [Insert Town Here]’s Public Transport Hubs

What do you think dear reader? (Deep Internet is definitely seeing this lol) Is it my own ideas, or is it someone else or is it… Right you probably know it.

And well as you can see… It’s all AI. This is yet another thing to be ashamed of, and I got a call-out by my teacher for it.

What do we do.

Well the good news is that one of my title got approved. But the bad news is that we’re still heavily rellying on AI. Like right now for coding the project that we have right now- I’m using OpenCode, that’s just how bad I’ve gotten on using AI and it is sickening, it feels like I’m not really coding, but at the same time- I really want to graduate.

My advice

If you guys are finally starting you’re Undergraduate Thesis, you need to Understand what you really want to do. Right now, I really want what I’m doing despite me Vibe Coding the fuck out of the project.

Next is Talk to your teachers. If you really want the project, make sure to consult with your teachers, especially if you know that they are going to be the panelist. They are going to be brutal with their criticism but atleast they are giving you the directions on how they can accept the project- and hey, since the panelist knows what you’re doing, they are likely to accept your Title.
